The Short 21st Century
The Short 21st Century is a zine workshop, wherein we ask participants to respond to one of the 250 reproductions of books dating from between 1789 and 1914, and published as part of The Long 19th Century Digested in 2019.
The aim is to digitise the zines produced by participants to build an online archive.
So far, the workshop was hosted by the following institutions: Fondazione Modena Arti Visive (Modena, Italy), Raffles Institute (Milan, Italy), Laszlo Moholy-Nagy University (Budapest, Hungary) and the Friedl Kubelka School of Photography (Vienna, Austria).
More information about the project's structure and content here.

On 1 June, Erik will hold a workshop during which he will explore his practice of navigating physical archives and flea markets, as well as his chance encounters with forgotten bodies of work, including the archive of South Tyrolean journalist Hermann Frass, held at foto-forum in Bolzano/Bozen. Participants will have a chance to ask questions and engage in a group discussion with Erik during the workshop.
