Hidden Islam – 479 Comments contains the textual discussion that populated the comment section underneath the Guardian article that journalist Sean O’Hagan devoted to Nicolò Degiorgis’ Hidden Islam (2014).

Other than gathering the comments themselves, this limited-edition workbook charts the topographic locations of the makeshift places of Islamic worship visited by the author in North East Italy. Following Hidden Islam‘s international acclaim and the prizes it was awarded,  479 Comments acts as an appendix to the first photographic volume and extends the discussion further by providing study material for sociologists, anthropologists, journalists and all those interested in engaging with one of the most urgent discussions animating the European public arena.
