RORHOF'S WEDNESDAYS

Every Wednesday from 21 April to 23 June between 4 p.m. and 7.30 p.m., we will celebrate RORHOF's transformation into a social cooperative. 

We will invite publishers and farmers to present their products, establishing a dialogue between culture and agriculture.

Due to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the maximum number of participants allowed is 65, so registration is recommended.

Henry Beyle is a Milan-based publishing house specialising in the production of limited-edition monotype booklets printed on precious papers. Riccardo Giacconi
Riccardo will be presenting a selection of works emerging from his long-term research on South Tyrolean history. Taking its cue from Options (2020), a set of cards offering a non-linear reading of the events that led to the annexation of South Tyrol to Italy at the end of WWI, Riccardo will install a number of exhibits in Rorhof’s studio space to mark the beginning of a new collaboration, including manifestoes, audio tracks and a spatial display of Options. SOS ART - Stillness in Moving Image
This week we open the second part of the exhibition devoted to the work of Davide Sossella. In our underground theatre gallery, we will project video content shot between October and December 2020 in the mountain hut in Batoe where Davide has been living and painting every day since the end of his eighteen-years jail sentence.

Erik Kessels
Erik Kessels is a Dutch artist and curator. Founder and creative director of international advertising agency KesselsKramer, Erik’s personal work moves from and flows into the field of vernacular or found photography. He collects pictures on flea markets, fairs, junk shops, archives and online, which he re-contextualises in the form of playful and unapologetic books. This week, he presents Apples and Pears, the book he curated for RORHOF on the monumental beauty of South Tyrolean fruits purposed for liquor production as originally photographed by Hermann Frass in the Seventies.

Keller Editore

Stanglerhof
After a decade-long hibernation, the Stanglerhof - one of the oldest farms in St. Konstantin - is back as a fully working farm run by Clara and Heiner. Natural and traditional materials (straw, wood and clay) combined with a modern design language bring the former barn to life as a tavern, where concerts, screenings, markets and other artistic pursuits are hosted. SOS Art
RORHOF's first art exhibition opens this week and it is dedicated to the work of Davide Sossella, a former inmate currently living in Batoe, a village in the Giudicarie Valley, in Trentino. Davide undertakes painting as a daily therapy. Among his subjects are crying women and children, upside-down flower pots, horses, chickens, turkeys, bees and cats. His Instagram handle offers an overview of his work here.

bruno
bruno is a three-headed creature. A graphic design studio, an exhibition space and a bookshop all at once, bruno focuses on art and photography books. Run by Andrea Codolo and Giacomo Covacich, bruno also operates as an independent art publisher.

franzLAB
franzLAB is a communication agency, promoting a more-than-apples-and-cows vision of South Tyrol and Trentino. As a publisher, franzLAB focuses on mountain narratives, championing an interdisciplinary approach to seeing, making, writing and living above and below the tree line.

Manaròt Magazine
Nicolò Tabarelli and Davide Gritti edit Manaròt, a magazine devoted to contemporary literature from and on the Adige valley. ‘Manaròt’, meaning ‘ax’ in Trentino dialect, indicates the militant nature of the publication, fighting for the word in a worldly wide web of visual wantonness. To start with, Nachlass, an issue on the collection of scripts, notes and scribbles left behind by writers upon their death.

Paper Marbling Workshop
The Turks call them ‘clouds’, the Japanese ‘floating inks’, we go by ‘razzle dazzle designs’. Marbling was a technique originally employed by bookbinders to colour sheets of paper used as book covers.

In our garden pavilion, we will hold a paper marbling workshop during which you can produce aqueous surface patterns on wrapping paper, notebooks or any other object of your choosing that you might have at hand or bring along for the occasion. Go kaleidoscopic with your colour palette!

It is here, it is open! Rorhof’s shop is a half book and a half installation space, where you can purchase all our titles, climb up handmade marbled paper ladders, look through transparent envelopes, walk under a waterfall of fanzines and make a grande sortie with one of our totes on your shoulder. Ogni mercoledì dal 21 aprile al 23 giugno, celebreremo la trasformazione di RORHOF in cooperativa sociale.

Erik Kessels è un artista e curatore olandese. Fondatore e direttore creativo dell'agenzia pubblicitaria KesselsKramer, il lavoro di Erik muove da e confluisce nel quadro della fotografia vernacolare. Collezionando immagini nei mercatini delle pulci, nelle fiere, nei negozi di seconda mano, negli archivi e online, egli le ricontestualizza sotto forma di ironici e irriverenti libri. Questa settimana Erik presenta Apples and Pears, il libro che ha curato per RORHOF sulla voluttuosa monumentalità dei frutti altoatesini destinati alla produzione di liquore originariamente fotografati da Hermann Frass negli anni Settanta.

Keller è un editore indipendente con sede a Rovereto, specializzato in romanzi, reportage e saggi. Keller promuove la traduzione in italiano di opere di autori stranieri poco conosciuti e presta particolare attenzione alla cultura e ai temi mitteleuropei. Dopo un letargo decennale, lo Stanglerhof - una delle più antiche fattorie di St. Konstantin - è tornato come una fattoria completamente funzionante gestita da Clara e Heiner. Materiali naturali e tradizionali (paglia, legno e argilla) combinati con un linguaggio di design moderno portano l'ex fienile alla vita come una taverna, dove vengono ospitati concerti, proiezioni, mercati e altre attività artistiche. Dipingere per Davide è una terapia. Fra i suoi soggetti donne e bambini piangenti, vasi di fiori rovesciati, cavalli, galline, tacchini, api e gatti. bruno è una creatura a tre teste: studio grafico, spazio espositivo e libreria al contempo. Gestito da Andrea Codolo e Giacomo Covacich, bruno è specializzato in libri d'arte e fotografia e opera anche in qualità di editore d'arte indipendente.

Nicolò Tabarelli e Davide Gritti sono gli editori di Manaròt, una rivista letteraria contenente tutta la valle dell'Adige. Manaròt, letteralmente "ascia" in dialetto trentino, indica la natura militante della pubblicazione che lotta per la parola in un mondo d'immagini. Per cominciare la loro avventura presentano Nachlass, un numero dedicato alla raccolta di scritti, appunti e scartafacci rimasti inediti alla morte dei loro autori.

In nome dei principi del "Buen vivir", Zebra aspira a contribuire alla vita di tutti i membri della società materialmente, relazionalmente e spiritualmente. Questo avviene nella pratica attraverso l'operato di volontari che producono una rivista mensile contenente poesie, immagini, disegni ed editoriali. Laboratorio di marmorizzazione della carta
I turchi le chiamano "nuvole", i giapponesi "inchiostri fluttuanti". La marmorizzazione è una tecnica originariamente impiegata dai rilegatori per colorare i fogli di carta utilizzati come copertine dei libri.

Sotto la tettoia del nostro giardino, terremo un workshop di marmorizzazione della carta durante il quale sarà possibile produrre decorazioni con superfici acquose su carta da regalo, quaderni o qualsiasi altro supporto.

Rorhof Bookshop
Il bookshop di Rorhof è uno spazio ugualmente libresco e installativo dove poter acquistare i nostri titoli, scalare scale di carta marmorizzata, guardare attraverso buste trasparenti, camminare sotto una cascata di fanzines e uscire con una borsa palmagufata in spalla. Il bookshop cambia continuamente, quindi, vi consigliamo di passare di qua spesso per non perdervi nulla!

Zwischen 16.00 und 19.30 Uhr erläutern Verleger und Landwirte ihre Aktivitäten durch Präsentationen, die einen Dialog zwischen Kultur und Landwirtschaft herstellen.

Aufgrund von Beschränkungen im Zusammenhang mit der COVID-19-Pandemie ist die maximale Teilnehmerzahl auf 65 Personen begrenzt, weshalb eine Anmeldung empfohlen wird.

Henry Beyle ist ein Verlag mit Sitz in Mailand, der sich auf die Herstellung kurzer, in Monotypie verfasster Texte spezialisiert hat, die in limitierter Auflage auf feinem Papier gedruckt werden, unberührt, so dass der Leser die einzelnen Blätter im Laufe der Lektüre ausschneiden kann. SOS ART - Stillness in Moving Image
Diese Woche eröffnen wir den zweiten Teil der Ausstellung, die dem Werk von Davide Sossella gewidmet ist. In unserer unterirdischen Theatergalerie werden wir Videoinhalte projizieren, die zwischen Oktober und Dezember 2020 in der Berghütte in Batoe gedreht wurden, in der Davide seit dem Ende seiner achtzehnjährigen Haftstrafe lebt und jeden Tag malt.

Erik Kessels
Erik Kessels ist ein niederländischer Künstler und Kurator. Gründer und Kreativdirektor der internationalen Werbeagentur KesselsKramer, Eriks persönliche Arbeit entwickelt sich im Bereich der Amateurfotografie und fließt in diese ein. Er sammelt Bilder auf Flohmärkten, Messen, in Trödelläden, Archiven und online, die er in Form von spielerischen und unapologetischen Büchern neu kontextualisiert. Diese Woche stellt er Apples and Pears vor, das von ihm für RORHOF kuratierte Buch über die monumentale Schönheit von Südtiroler Früchten, die für die Likörproduktion bestimmt waren, wie sie Hermann Frass in den siebziger Jahren ursprünglich fotografiert hatte.

SOS Art
Die erste Kunstausstellung von RORHOF wird diese Woche eröffnet und ist dem Werk von Davide Sossella gewidmet, einem ehemaligen Häftling, der zurzeit in den Judicarien, im Trentino lebt. Davide unternimmt die Malerei als tägliche Therapie. Zu seinen Motiven gehören weinende Frauen und Kinder, umgedrehte Blumentöpfe, Pferde, Hühner, Truthähne, Bienen und Katzen. Sein Instagram-Profil bietet hier einen Überblick über seine Arbeit.

Aspmayrhof*Hotel Amazonas
Margareth Kaserer und Simon Steinhauser bereiten in ihrer Buschenschank Köstlichkeiten zu, veranstalten Künstlerresidenzen und komponieren Musik. In der Stadt bringen sie ihre Statur, die zeigt, wie man mit Geist und Hand die Zukunft kultiviert. 

Literaturzeitschrift Manaròt
Nicolò Tabarelli und Davide Gritti sind die Redakteure von Manaròt, einer Literaturzeitschrift, die das gesamte Etschtal umfasst. Manaròt, wörtlich "Axt" im Trentiner Dialekt, weist auf den kämpferischen Charakter der Publikation hin, die in einer Welt der Bilder um das Wort kämpft. Zu Beginn ihres Abenteuers präsentieren sie Nachlass, eine Ausgabe, die der Sammlung von Schriften, Notizen und Kritzeleien gewidmet ist, die nach dem Tod ihrer Autoren unveröffentlicht blieben.

Les Cerises
Les Cerises ist ein Verlagsprojekt von Daniele Lupo, Angelika Burtscher und Cecilia und Agnese Canziani. Zweimal im Jahr erscheinen wortlose Kinderbücher in limitierter Auflage im Auftrag von Künstlern, Designern und Architekten.

Zebra
Im Namen der Prinzipien des "Buen vivir" strebt Zebra danach, zum Leben aller Mitglieder der Gesellschaft beizutragen - materiell, beziehungsmäßig und spirituell. Dies geschieht in der Praxis durch die Arbeit von Freiwilligen, die ein monatliches Magazin mit Gedichten, Bildern, Zeichnungen und Leitartikeln produzieren. Papiermarmorierung Werkstatt
Die Türken nennen sie "Wolken", die Japaner "Schwebetinten". Marmorieren ist eine Technik, die ursprünglich von Buchbindern verwendet wurde, um die als Buchdeckel verwendeten Papierbögen einzufärben.

Unter dem Vordach unseres Gartens veranstalten wir einen Papiermarmorierung Werkstatt, bei dem Teilnehmer Dekorationen mit wässrigen Oberflächen auf Geschenkpapier oder Notizbüchern herstellen können.

Rorhofs Bookshop ist ein buchiger wie installativer Raum, in dem Sie unsere Titel kaufen, Treppen aus marmoriertem Papier erklimmen, durch transparente Umschläge schauen oder unter einer Kaskade von Fanzines hindurchgehen kann.
