Transart is a contemporary music, performance and art festival that has been taking place yearly since 2001 in South Tyrol and Trentino. Events are housed in ever-changing and ever so different locations, from industrial buildings, turbine halls, animal auction houses and parking lots to concert halls, museums and mountain huts.
On its 15th anniversary, Transart commissioned Rorhof a volume documenting the people and places that made the festival possible from 2001 and 2015. A chartaceous chronicle was born, inviting readers on a journey into aural space. A visual galaxy punctuated by artists, musicians and performers, who shine bright against the pitch-dark blackness of the night-pages hosting their art. 092 EX 10, an alien with a bag on his head. 435 SR 08, an assemblage of humanoids marveling at the sight of a UFO. 076 FL 07, a Geo-dude emerging from behind a fog curtain. 341 JGN 10, the tentacles of a crawling cyborg. 374 GA 15, starry snails sliding on their slime.
