Peak is about the Dolomites, the mountain range located in the Alps and heritage of UNESCO, traditionally known as ‘the pale mountains’.

The book focuses on the cyclicality affecting the Dolomites through the illustration of its summers and winters, its dusks and dawns, its whiteness and blackness, its roughness and softness. The apex-nadir binomial is central to Peak in so far as it frames the continuous pendular oscillation between two extremes, so vividly rendered through both the volume’s form and its visuals.

The book aims to render the material fleetingness of the ever-changing Alpine environment through a publication that is at once an insight and an index of the eternal return affecting the Dolomites.
